Rocco’s Big News

Hey everyone!  So, I’m letting Rocco hijack the blog this week… well kind of.  He’s got some big news and wants to get straight to the point!

You guessed it!  Rocco is going to be a big brother!  So, actually, this is really Shane and my great news!  We are expecting a little one in July!  We couldn’t be more excited to share this news with you and give you updates as the months go by.

We found out the good news right before Thanksgiving and couldn’t wait to tell my parents.  I made a little Indian feather hat for Rocco with all of the things he is thankful for and brought him over to my parents house to surprise them.

Rocco is thankful for:

• Friends
• Family
• Bones
• Firehose (his favorite toy)
• Snuggles
• Baby (surprise!)

I love to tell good news in creative ways so we waited until Christmas to tell Shane’s family.  Shane had the idea of giving his mom, dad, grandmother and brother each a letter that together would spell “BABY”.  I went with his idea and created little ornaments for them.  They were confused by the letters when they first opened the gifts, but Shane’s dad quickly figured out our little trick.

Our whole family was surprised, emotional and ecstatic when we shared the good news.  Shane and I are so lucky to have such great families and we’re looking forward to growing our own.
